When you buy a historic home in an older neighborhood, sometimes space is at a premium.

So when this couple’s family started growing, they knew they needed to find some space they could grow into. The undeveloped basement was dark, dirty, damp, and disappointing, but that is where we needed to go.

With less than 1,000 SF to work with, we were able to carve out a family room with a fireplace and built-ins, a guest bedroom big enough for a queen bed, a full bathroom and a convenient bar. We were also able to maintain a generously sized storage room. By keeping the colours light and bright, the lower ceilings disappeared and the space we created was inviting and family friendly. We also couldn’t resist a bit of cheeky fun with some custom tile designs in the shower!

Client Testimonial

“Working with Flawless Interiors on our basement renovation was a fantastic experience, start to finish.  Keith and Tracy helped us identify our needs and design a space that really worked for us, and stayed involved throughout the renovation.  They selected all of our finishes, and the finishes they chose really preserved the general feel and style of the rest of our home in our new space.  Keith and Tracy were always professional and punctual during the process, and completed the final decoration of our new space under our budget.  Worth every penny - I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone! “
